App: Phone Call: Contacts Caller ID Effective date: September 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how the developer of Phone Call: Contacts Caller ID ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with the application (the "App"). The App manages your contacts, places and receives calls, keeps your call history, identifies incoming callers, and filters unwanted numbers. By installing or using the App you accept the practices described here; if you do not accept them, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on the features you use and the permissions you grant, the App may process:
- Contacts — the names and phone numbers stored on your device, used to build your contact list, place calls, and match an incoming number to a person.
- Call log and call state — records of calls made and received, used for call history, redial, and caller identification while a call is in progress.
- Blocked and reported numbers — numbers you block or flag, retained together with a device identifier so filtering keeps working.
- Information you send us — your email address and any name or detail you include when you write to support.
- Device and technical data — device model, Android version, App version, language and region, device identifiers, advertising identifier, IP address, feature-usage events, crash reports, and performance diagnostics.
- Purchase information — subscription status and purchase history associated with your Google Play account.
Contacts and call history are processed on your device. We do not sell them, and they are not shared with advertising partners.
2. Permissions and Their Purposes
| Permission | Why the App asks for it |
|---|---|
| READ_CONTACTS, WRITE_CONTACTS | Display, create, edit, and organise your contact list |
| READ_CALL_LOG | Build your call history and recent-calls screens |
| READ_PHONE_STATE, ANSWER_PHONE_CALLS | Detect and handle incoming and active calls |
| PROCESS_OUTGOING_CALLS | Provide caller identification during outgoing calls |
| FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_PHONE_CALL | Keep call handling reliable while a call is running |
| POST_NOTIFICATIONS | Alert you to incoming calls, missed calls, and blocked activity |
| INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, ACCESS_WIFI_STATE | Connect for ads, analytics, and subscription checks |
| WAKE_LOCK | Keep the device responsive during call handling |
Every permission is requested only when the feature that needs it is used, and each can be withdrawn at any time in Android's settings — the dependent feature simply pauses until it is granted again.
3. Why We Collect Data
The information above is processed in order to: operate the App's dialling, contact, call-history, caller-ID, and blocking features; keep the spam filter effective; maintain stability and investigate crashes; understand aggregate usage so features can be improved; deliver and measure advertising; process and restore subscriptions; answer support requests; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell or rent personal information.
4. Sharing Your Information
Data is shared only with the service providers named in this policy, and only to the extent they need it to provide their service. We may also disclose information where the law compels it, where it is reasonably necessary to prevent fraud or abuse or to protect users' safety, and in connection with a merger or sale of assets — in which case this policy continues to apply. Your contacts and call log are never sold and never passed to advertising partners.
5. Analytics Providers
- Google Analytics
- Firebase — analytics and crash reporting
- AppMetrica
- Microsoft Clarity
6. Advertising Services
The free version of the App is supported by advertising delivered by third-party networks:
- Google AdMob and Google Ad Manager
These networks may use your advertising identifier and comparable technical signals to select advertisements, including personalised ones where you have consented or the law permits. A running subscription removes advertising from the App.
Your advertising choices: reset or delete your advertising ID and switch off ad personalisation in Android's settings; manage Google's settings at https://adssettings.google.com.
7. Notifications
Push notifications may be delivered through Firebase. Notifications can be turned off at any time in Android's settings.
8. In-App Purchases and Billing
Subscriptions and any other in-app purchases are handled exclusively through the Google Play billing system, with purchase validation managed via RevenueCat. Card numbers and billing details go to Google alone, under Google's own privacy policy, and never reach us; RevenueCat processes only non-personal device and purchase-history data needed to confirm entitlements. Purchases are acknowledged in the background so they are not reversed automatically, and they are restored automatically when the App is reinstalled or installed on another device signed in to the same Google account. Purchase records are retained for the period tax and accounting law requires.
9. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA, UK, Switzerland)
Where you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on: your consent (personalised advertising and optional permissions); performance of the service you requested; our legitimate interests in maintaining, securing, and improving the App; compliance with legal obligations; and, in rare cases, the protection of vital interests.
10. Privacy Rights in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland
You may request access to your personal data, its correction, its erasure, or restriction of its processing; object to processing; withdraw consent at any time; request portability; and lodge a complaint with your Data Protection Authority. Write to the address at the end of this policy to exercise any of these.
11. U.S. Privacy Disclosures and State Rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to know which categories of personal information are collected and why, to access, correct, or delete that information, to opt out of its sale or sharing and of targeted advertising, to data portability, to appeal a decision, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. Requests may be made through the App's privacy settings where available, or by writing to us.
12. South Korea (PIPA)
Users in South Korea hold rights under the Personal Information Protection Act, including access, correction, deletion, and suspension of processing. Contact us to exercise them.
13. Your Controls, Retention, and Deletion
You remain in control: permissions can be granted or withdrawn in Android's settings; contacts can be edited or deleted; call history can be cleared; blocked numbers can be released; ad personalisation can be disabled; and the App can be uninstalled at any time, which removes its local data from the device. No account is required to use the App. To request deletion of anything we may hold — for example spam reports linked to a device identifier, or a support email thread — write to us and we will act within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.
14. Data Security
Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards protect the information the App processes, and subscription validation uses encrypted communication. Nevertheless, no method of electronic transmission or storage is entirely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
15. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, or under the higher minimum age set by the law of your region, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Anything received in error is deleted once identified. A subscription purchased by a minor requires a parent's or guardian's prior consent; we recommend parents enable purchase authentication in Google Play so no charge completes on a child's device without approval.
16. Links to Other Websites
The App may link to websites operated by others. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices and encourage you to read their policies.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. The version in force, with its effective date, is always the one published on this page. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of it.
