Terms of Use
Terms of Service
App: Phone Call: Contacts Caller ID Effective date: September 9, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form the agreement between you and the developer ("we", "us", "our") governing the Phone Call: Contacts Caller ID application (the "App"). Downloading, installing, or using the App binds you to these Terms. If they are not acceptable to you, do not use the App.
1. The Service
The App handles contacts and calls: organising and searching your contact list, placing and receiving calls, keeping call history, identifying who is calling before you answer, and blocking or filtering numbers you do not want to hear from. Which features are available depends on the permissions you grant, on your handset, and on whether the App has been set as your default phone or caller-ID app.
2. Eligibility
The App may be used from 13 years of age, or from the higher minimum age the law of your region sets. Anyone aged between 13 and 18 may use it only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on their behalf and takes responsibility for that use.
3. Free Use and Subscription
Core contact and call features are free, and the free tier carries advertising. An optional subscription does two things: it removes advertising and it unlocks the App's premium features. Which features the subscription covers is shown inside the App, and that set may be extended or adjusted as the App develops.
4. Billing, Renewal, and Cancellation
Subscriptions are sold through the Google Play billing system at the price displayed before you confirm. A subscription renews automatically at the close of each billing period, charged to your Google Play account under Google's terms, unless cancelled beforehand. Cancellation is done in the Play Store under "Subscriptions"; access then continues to the end of the period already paid for. Uninstalling the App cancels nothing — only the Play Store ends a subscription.
5. Refunds
Refunds fall under the Google Play refund policy and are assessed and issued by Google, not by us. If you believe a charge was made in error you are welcome to contact us as well, and we will assist as far as we can, though the final decision on any Play Store refund belongs to Google.
6. Purchases Made by Minors
A subscription or purchase made by a minor is valid only where a parent or legal guardian agreed to it in advance. An adult who allows a minor to use a device signed in to the adult's Google Play account is responsible for purchases made from it. Enabling purchase authentication in Google Play — requiring a password or fingerprint before each purchase — is the effective safeguard, and we recommend it on any device a child can reach. Where an unauthorised purchase has occurred, the route to a refund runs through Google Play.
7. Acceptance and Revision
Using the App constitutes acceptance of these Terms. We may revise them; the version in force, with its effective date, is always published on this page, and continued use after a revision constitutes acceptance of it. Where a revision does not suit you, ceasing to use the App is the remedy available.
8. Data the App Uses
With the permissions you grant, the App works with contacts, call log, call state, and related device data to deliver dialling, caller identification, call history, and blocking. The detail is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Personal data is not sold, and sharing is confined to the providers identified there.
9. Responsible Use
Use the App lawfully. You are responsible for how you use its calling, identification, blocking, and reporting features — including compliance with the law where you live — and for the accuracy of the contact data you keep in it. The App must not be used to harass anyone, to submit false spam reports, to interfere with emergency communications, to circumvent the subscription, or to gain unauthorised access to connected systems. Never rely on the App as your only means of contacting emergency services; your handset's own emergency dialling must remain available at all times.
10. Controls Available to You
Permissions may be withdrawn in Android's settings; contacts edited or deleted; call history cleared; blocked numbers released; the default phone or caller-ID app changed; and the App uninstalled — each at any time and at your sole discretion.
11. Ownership and Licence
The App's code, design, graphics, and other materials originating with us are our property and protected by intellectual property law. You receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App, together with any premium features your subscription unlocks, for private and non-commercial purposes. Copying, altering, redistributing, selling, and reverse engineering are not permitted without our written consent. Your contacts and your own content remain yours throughout.
12. Advertising
Where no subscription is active, advertisements are displayed through third-party networks such as Google AdMob. Anything arising between you and an advertiser is a matter between the two of you; we accept no responsibility for third-party advertising content or for the goods and services promoted through it. Advertising ceases while a subscription is running.
13. Disclosure Required by Law
Information may be disclosed where the law requires it, or where reasonably necessary to prevent fraud or abuse, to protect the rights and safety of users, or to enforce these Terms.
14. Termination
You may end your use of the App at any time by uninstalling it — noting that an active subscription survives uninstallation and must be cancelled separately in the Play Store. We may suspend or terminate access without prior notice where these Terms are breached, where the law obliges us, or where continuing to provide the App would expose us to legal or operational risk. Provisions that by their nature survive termination — ownership, disclaimers, limits on liability — remain in effect.
15. Absence of Warranty
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, that every unwanted or spam call will be intercepted, that caller identification will always prove accurate, or that defects will be corrected.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent the law permits, we bear no liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including missed or failed calls, loss of data, loss of contacts, loss of profit, and device malfunction — arising from use of the App or any inability to use it, even where the possibility of such damage was made known to us.
17. Disputes
Contact us first at the address below; the great majority of matters are settled that way. Where informal resolution fails, the dispute is determined under applicable law by the competent courts of the place in which the defendant is located, unless mandatory law directs otherwise.
18. General
Should any provision of these Terms be held invalid or unenforceable, the remainder continues in full force. A decision not to enforce a provision on one occasion operates as no waiver of it.
